- The Decision of the National People's Congress to Amend the Legislation Law of the People's Republic of China, as adopted at the 1st Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on March 13, 2023, is hereby issued, and shall come into force on March 15, 2023.
- 《全國人民代表大會關于修改＜中華人民共和國立法法＞的決定》已由中華人民共和國第十四屆全國人民代表大會第一次會議于2023年3月13日通過，現予公布，自2023年3月15日起施行。

- As decided at the 1st Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress, the Legislation Law of the People's Republic of China is amended as follows:
- 第十四屆全國人民代表大會第一次會議決定對《中華人民共和國立法法》作如下修改：
- 1. Article 3 is divided into two articles as Article 3 and Article 4, and amended to read:
- 一、將第三條改為兩條，作為第三條、第四條，修改為：
- “Article 3 Legislation shall adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China, adhere to the guidance of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thought of Three Represents, the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, advance the construction of a system of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics, and safeguard the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country under the rule of law.
- “第三條 立法應當堅持中國共產黨的領導，堅持以馬克思列寧主義、毛澤東思想、鄧小平理論、‘三個代表'重要思想、科學發展觀、習近平新時代中國特色社會主義思想為指導，推進中國特色社會主義法治體系建設，保障在法治軌道上全面建設社會主義現代化國家。
